Behind Birders Urban Retreat is a passionate individual whose love for nature and adventure has shaped the essence of our properties. A retired military officer, avid birdwatcher, naturalist, and adventure motorcycle rider, our owner has traveled across Sri Lanka and beyond, pursuing his passion for wildlife and exploration. His vision for Birders Urban Retreat was to create a space where guests could experience the wonders of Sri Lanka’s birdlife and wetlands in comfort and style.
